- I have a Micron Magnum 486DX2 66 with a USR Sportster 14.4 internal
- modem. It has been working fine until couple days ago, when I was
- using SLIP, something went wrong and the modem was messed up (don't know
- what it was). Now everytime I tried to connect, the relay would go
- clicking but there was no dial tone. Computer would report "There was
- no dial tone". I checked out the BIOS setup, the window's COM PORT
- and IRQ setup, and the setup in the communication utilities (I tried to
- use the "terminal" coming with the windows 3.1 and Quick-Link II).
- but nothing worked.
-
- Can anyone out there give me a clue what's the problem?
-
- Thanks in advance!
